Comfortable Everest Trekking with Luxury Accommodation and Helicopter

The Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek is perfect for travelers who want to experience the Everest adventure journey without compromising comfort and services in Nepal. During the trekking, you will walk at a gentle, safe pace and with properly planned rest and hiking days in Namche Bazaar and Dingboche, so when you reach the destination, Everest Base Camp, you feel strong, relaxed, not just exhausted. This is something we have learned over the past years from guiding many trekkers during multiple seasons. From Kathmandu, you will take a direct helicopter flight to Lukla, the beginning of your Luxury EBC Trekking in Nepal.

From the moment you step into Kathmandu, you will be transferred to a 5 Star Category Luxury Hotel, like Hotel Marriott, before and after the trek. Every night you will stay at the best available luxury lodges while trekking in the Everest Region. You will stay at Yeti Mountain Home by Mountain Lodges of Nepal for 3 nights (1Night in Phakding and 2Nights in Namche Bazaar). The luxury lodges you will stay in have clean, cozy rooms with warm dining areas and attached bathrooms, hot showers, an electric blanket, free Wi-Fi, and charging access.

At the end of the trekking, from Gorak Shep you will fly back to Kathmandu by helicopter via Lukla, which means you do not have to trek the same way back to Lukla. The scenic flight back offers the aerial view of mountains, Sherpa villages, and glaciers, which is a truly unforgettable experience. Everest base camp luxury trek with helicopter return is a perfect walking holiday for those who have less time and want to experience the Everest journey within a short period of time.

The Honest Truth About "Luxury" Above 4,400m

Let's be honest about what "luxury" means on this trek, because it differs with altitude.

In Kathmandu, you stay at the Marriott, a 5-star hotel. In Namche Bazaar and Phakding (up to 3,440m), you stay at Yeti Mountain Home lodges with hot showers, attached bathrooms, electric blankets, and heated dining rooms. This is a genuine luxury compared to any mountain lodge in the world.

Above 4,000m in Deboche and Dingboche, you stay at semi-luxury lodges with clean, comfortable, but simpler lodges. In Lobuche and Gorak Shep, luxury lodges don't even exist. Nobody operates them because the altitude, weather, and logistics make it impossible. We stay at the best available teahouses, which means warm rooms, good food, and shared bathrooms.

What stays premium throughout the entire trek is the service: your licensed guide, your porter, the helicopter logistics, the medical kit and oximeter, the carefully paced itinerary, and the farewell dinner in Kathmandu. The lodges adjust to the mountain. Our standard of care does not.

It is, however, very unlikely that the itinerary would be substantially altered; if alterations are necessary the leader will decide what is the best alternative, taking into consideration the best interests of the whole group. Where a change does occur, we do everything our best to minimize its effect, but we cannot be responsible for the results of changes or delays.

The most awaited adventures Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek, begins today. First, we take a helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (45Minutes) (2,840m), which offers aerial and stunning views of the mountain scenery.

The next part of the day involves a 3 hours trek to Phakding, through the Dudh Koshi River Valley. It's a gentle descent from Lukla along rocky and well-made stone paths. On the way, we will pass Cheplung village and reach Ghat, then the trail will ascend to the Phakding Village.

Arrive at Phakding, a quiet settlement into a luxury lodge, and enjoy your warm dinner along with stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

3Day

Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar

From Phakding, we cross the river twice on high suspension bridges. Beyond Monjo is the entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park, which was introduced in order to protect and preserve the fragile mountain environment. Next, it’s a steep hike to Namche.

If the weather is clear, we get the first glimpse of Mt Everest. Namche is a central trading village in the Khumbu and has a busy Saturday market – an old-time meeting place for the Hindu traders who hail from the lowlands and the Tibetan yak caravans that have crossed the glaciated Nangpa La.

4Day

Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar, hike to Everest View Hotel

Today, we will spend the day at Namche Bazaar. It is the largest village in the Khumbu region and has many modern facilities, such as WIFI, ATMs, a cafe, and Museums.

In the morning, we take an hour walk up to the Everest View Hotel, Syangboche, for stunning views of the Himalayan Mountains, including Everest, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, Thamserku, and Kantega.

Later in the evening, we will explore Namche Bazaar's market and visit the Visitor Center and Sherpa Culture Museum.

5Day

Trek from Namche Bazaar to Deboche via Tengboche

From Namche, the trail goes uphill onto the side of the valley, high above the Dudh Kosi. This is where we get our first really good views of the great peaks of the Khumbu, including Mt Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse. and Ama Dablam.

You will be visiting the Tengboche Monastery, which is the biggest and oldest in the Khumbu region. Hiking by several villages and numerous tea shops, we descend steeply to a suspension bridge over the river at Phungi Thanga. And after a short descent, you will reach Deboche.

6Day

Trek from Deboche to Dingboche

We descend downhill through a forest and cross the Imja River. and climb steadily to the village of Pangboche.

This village stands exactly opposite to Ama Dablam [6,856 m], and has special views of the mountain, with the gompa, mani walls, and scattered pine trees in the foreground. From here, a further two hours walk brings us to Dingboche.

7Day

Rest Day at Dingboche for acclimatization and hike to Nagarjuna Hill

Today is our second rest day of the trip. We rest and acclimatize here before hiking to Nagarjuna Hill (5050m). It takes around 3-4hours walk to the hill which offers a beautiful view of Ama Dablam, Taboche, Lobuche, Lobuche East and West, Thamserku, and Kangtega.

There is another alternative hike option to Chukung Valley (Imja Valley) as well, with a gorgeous view of Makalu, Island Peak, Everest, Cholatse, etc. The rest of the day will be spent exploring around Dingboche Village.

8Day

Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche

Lobuche is the second last accommodation settlement area on the way to EBC. We carry on through our journey up the wide valley that lies below the magnificent peaks of Cholatse and Tawache to the left. We then swerve right and take a steep climb towards the foot of the Khumbu Glacier.

We go in for a breather in the tea house at Thukla, which is a good spot to settle in for lunch. The trail then meanders through the boulders of the glacier's terminal moraine.

As we reach the top of this Sherpa village, we come across many stone cairns, built as memorials to the many Sherpas who visited the cluster of houses at Lobuche Village.

9Day

Trek from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and return to Gorak Shep (5,164m)

Today, we will finally reach Everest Base Camp from Lobuche. We climb the route along the Khumbu Glacier. The trail presents fantastic views of the surrounding mountains, especially where the path forces itself to rise to cross a tributary glacier and descend through the sandy trails to Gorak Shep.

We will have lunch here at Gorak Shep (lodging place) and in the afternoon continue trekking alongside the Khumbu Glacier. The trail undoubtedly presents jaw-dropping views of the snowy mountain, Khumbu Ice Falls, Frozen streams, and yaks.

After exploring Everest Base Camp, descend to Gorak Shep to spend the night since there are no tea houses or lodges at the base camp, and crash out for an early night in preparation for our trek to Kala Patthar on the following day.

Health & Safety on the Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek

Our top priorities are your safety and well-being, so you can enjoy your Himalayan journey without any difficulties. Trekking to the world’s highest peaks is a thrilling adventure, but it comes with challenges that require care, preparation, and awareness. But with our guidance, you can enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime journey without worry.

Altitude Sickness: Prevention & Symptoms

Reaching in like a high altitude point such as Kala Patthar (5,545m) and Everest Base Camp (5,364m) is an awe-inspiring experience, but high altitude can affect anyone, so it is better to have information about high altitude.

Signs to watch for:

  • Headaches or dizziness
  • Nausea or loss of appetite
  • Shortness of breath even while resting
  • Fatigue or trouble sleeping

How to protect yourself during the Trek:

  • Take it slow: There are two rest days in Namche Bazaar and Dingboche, which allow your body to adjust naturally according to your surrounding environments.
  • Hydrate & fuel your body: During the trek, drink enough water to stay hydrated and eat nourishing meals to stay strong.
  • Listen to your body: You need to listen to your body and take rest when needed. Your guides are trained to help, so listen to your guides.
  • Avoid alcohol & smoking: Drinking alcohol and smoking can worsen altitude sickness, which is why you need to avoid them.

You can enjoy every sunrise, every stunning view, and every step along the Khumbu trails with confidence with proper acclimatization.

Travel Insurance Recommendations

Mountain adventure is thrilling, but peace of mind is priceless. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers the following:

  • High-altitude trekking (up to 6,000m)
  • Medical emergencies and evacuation by helicopter
  • Hospital stays, medications

Knowing you are fully covered lets you focus on the beauty around you – the glacial valleys, towering peaks, and the quiet majesty of Everest – without worry.

Tips for Staying Fit Before the Trek

Recommended preparation:

  • Cardio training: Running, cycling, or brisk walking to strengthen stamina.
  • Leg & core strength: Squats, lunges, planks, and stair climbing to handle long days on rugged trails
  • Endurance practice: Gradually increase distance and elevation in hikes
  • Flexibility & balance: Yoga or stretching to prevent injuries and keep energy flowing

With preparation and care, each step becomes part of the story – the story of your standing in the shadows of the world’s tallest peaks, feeling alive, inspired, and unstoppable.
