Our company does a deal with a whole village to accommodate and entertain guests; rooms in local houses are fitted with bathrooms and a few tourist-style comforts, host families are trained to prepare meals hygienically, and a guide accompanies the guests to interpret.

Sirubari village is a quiet Gurung settlement in the hills at 1700 meters above sea level and short drive / walk (gentle hike) from Pokhara. The climate is ideal at any time during the September to June season where the days are warm with cool nights. This program is especially prepared to know the locals and their culture staying within a village environment as a family member. The village will welcome you and you can stay in one of the family homes of the village. The accommodation is simple but comfortable with good bedding and a clean toilet with facilities that are comfortable as per village standards. The food is delicious and you will be eating with the family. The village community will arrange different programs for your entertainment. This will be in the form of traditional Gurung and Nepali dancing and singing, you can join in if you like. During your stay you will be able to feel the actual lifestyles of rural life in villages of Nepal. You can also volunteer any skills you have for the well being of the village. They will like it.

1Day

Arrival at Kathmandu.

Arrival at Kathmandu. On arrival, our reps will meet and transfer to your hotel. Your first overnight in Kathmandu.

2Day

Sightseeing Kathmandu

After breakfast, proceed for half day sightseeing tour of historical patan city. We return to hotel, have rest and in the afternoon again start half day sightseeing tour of Bajrabarahi and Chapagaon. Overnight at your hotel

3Day

Drive to Pokhara

After breakfast, we drive approx 6 hrs. To Pokhara, the city of lakes. We reach Pokhara and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

4Day

Pokhara Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed for half day sightseeing tour of Pokhara city including Devi’s fall, Gupteshwore Mahadev cave, Seti River, Bindhyabasani temple and Barahi temple with one hour boating on Phewa Lake. Overnight at your hotel

5Day

Drive to Sirubari Village via Badkhola

After breakfast, we drive to Sirubari via Badkhola, Darau. We stop for lunch en route Syangja Bazaar and arrive Sirubari village between 4 to 5 pm. Welcome ceremonies will be done, there will be blessing by village lama, snacks will be provided and allotment of accommodation will be completed. Your first overnight in quiet Sirubari village.

6Day

Sightseeing at Sirubari Village

Depart village on foot for mountain views and sunrise at Thumro. Snacks will be served at Maidan Kharka before sunrise. After viewing the sun rise we return to Sirubari Breakfast and Lunch at home. After lunch, we visit the village, funeral place, and the school and get back to home. We then have dinner with family. Evening culture program at gompa. You are also free to volunteer any skills you have to the villagers. Overnight in the village

7Day

Drive back to Pokhara

Breakfast with family and meet group at gompa for a farewell ceremony. Depart Sirubari at 8.30 am for Pokhara via Karkinetta, Seti Doban and Naudanda. Stop for lunch en route. We arrive Pokhara and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at hotel

8Day

Fly to Kathmandu

Transfer to airport for your Pokhara / Kathmandu flight. Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel

9Day

Free day at Kathmandu

Free in Kathmandu to do your own things. In the evening, you will be taken to a Nepali kitchen for a delicious Nepali cuisine. While enjoying your meal, you will be entertained to a thrilling cultural dance done by the local belles. This dinner will be provided as complimentary on behalf of Higher Limits Trek & Expedition for the good feelings of our guests. Overnight at your hotel

10Day

Transfer to airport for departure flight home. Our reps will escort you to the airport.

Essential Information

Meals / Food:

Every day’s Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner is included in the package during the trek. This will be a dish of Nepali, Indian or Continental source cooked by the lodging you stay at.

Accommodations / Hotels:

The whole trekking is tea house trekking which means we will be staying at simple Tea House Lodge accommodation during the trek which will be wood and stone houses with outside toilet and bathroom.

Electricity:

Many places are not available electricity so please be prepare with 2pin plug, power bank, spare batteries and head lamp etc.
