Buddhist Pilgrimage Circuit Tour commences from the capital city of Kathmandu where you will get to visit the Buddhist familiar sight of Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey temple), from the hilltop overlooking the whole valley. The second day of your tour will be scenic driving to Dhulikhel which is a small quiet town, known for its traditional crafts, and lies 30 km east of Kathmandu from where we will take you for a hike to the famous Namobudha.

Also, we visit the ancient city of Patan and Bhaktapur to see architectural wonders of Hindu temples and Buddhist monuments on the third day. This tour will also include a trip to Lumbini, which is the birth place of Buddha and situated in the Terai plains of southern Nepal. We will be visiting the nativity site marked by a stone pillar erected by Indian Emperor Ashoka and in the last day of the Tours in Kathmandu, you will be visiting Kopan monastery, Boundhanth stupa and the Himalayan Buddhist Meditation centre to attend the one day workshop. Some time spent at this centre gives you a good kind of relaxation..

1Day

Arrival at Kathmandu

Our airport team welcomes you at Tribhuvan International Airport on your arrival day. You will have a hassle-free transfer to hotel from airport. The remaining day is free for rest and enjoy your bustling surroundings.

2Day

Day hike to Namobudha

After breakfast, we will drive you to Dhulikhel – A small quiet town, known for its traditional crafts, lies just 30 km east of Kathmandu at an altitude of 1470m. If you wish to, you may climb a little to see the mountains, from Cho Oyu in the east to Himalchuli in the west following which we will take you for a hike to the famous Namobudha.

3Day

KATHMANDU SIGHTSEEING TOUR

After breakfast, we proceed for a full day sightseeing tour. The places of today’s visit will be Patan and the villages in the vicinity & Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Lunch can be taken out in the restaurant or we can even start out with a packed lunch.

4Day

Fly Kathmandu to Bhairahawa and drive to Lumbini

In the afternoon, we fly to Bhairahawa. It is a 45 minutes flight from Kathmandu. We will be received at the airport and transferred to the hotel. In the evening, we will take you for a short sightseeing tour around the birth place of Lord Buddha. Overnight hotel

5Day

Fly Lumbini to Kathmandu

After breakfast, we head out for sightseeing tour. At noon, we drive to Bhairawa approx. 14 km from Lumbini to catch our flight to Kathmandu. We will reach Kathmandu in the evening. Over night in hotel in Kathmandu.

6Day

Visit Kopan Monstery

After breakfast, we will take you to the Kopan Monastery for a visit followed by a tour of the Boudhanath stupa on the way back.

7Day

At the Himalayan Budhist Meditation Centre

Today we will take you to the Himalayan Buddhist Meditation centre to attend the one day workshop – ‘Discovering Buddhism’ in which various preliminary and advanced Buddhist teachings with contemplation and discussions led by monks, nuns and scholars from both Tibetan Buddhist and various Buddhist traditions are conducted. Topics and teachers for the workshop will be notified only few days prior to the workshop.

In the evening, we will take you to enjoy a Nepali meal with a thrilling cultural dance program. This evening out will be complimentary on behalf of Higher Limits Trek & Expedition for the good welfare of our guests. Overnight at your hotel

8Day

FINAL DEPARTURE – After Breakfast

Morning will be left free for shopping & other independent activities. Depending on your flight time, we will drive you to the International airport for your onward flight.

Essential Information

Meals / Food:

Every day’s Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner is included in the package during the trek. This will be a dish of Nepali, Indian or Continental source cooked by the lodging you stay at.

Accommodations / Hotels:

The whole trekking is tea house trekking which means we will be staying at simple Tea House Lodge accommodation during the trek which will be wood and stone houses with outside toilet and bathroom.

Electricity:

Many places are not available electricity so please be prepare with 2pin plug, power bank, spare batteries and head lamp etc.
