We visit Budhathum Village in Dhading District again to distribute relief materials!
On 3rd October 2015, along with our Japanese friend paid a fourth visit to Budhathum Village, in Dhading district to distribute fourth batch of relief materials to the victims of Earthquake disaster. During our journey to the village we had to walk about 2hrs after the bus stop due to the road condition but we still manage to reach the village.
The visit was organized by Higher Limits Trek & Expedition in cooperation and support of the Japanese community center and all our international friends. Previously, we had visited already the village three times on 1st-5th May, on 22nd May, and on 11 June 2015 and we made first-hand observation of the earthquake disaster in the village as well as distributed beaten rice, mattress, dry noodles, tarpaulins, cooking oil, salt, mosquito nets and galvanize iron sheets.
This time we distributed to each families 15kg Rice (1230kg total), 1litter Cooking Oil and 1/2kg Cumin powder for the 82 house holders in close coordination of the Main Committee for Disaster Relief set up at the VDC level.
After discussion with the villager for the next step they have requested us to build the drinking water tap in the village so we have made further commitment to do our best. The lovely villager accorded welcomed us with their full heart in spite of this difficult moment.
We will update about activities of the next round of relief campaign. Again, we would like to thank the Japanese Community Center Tokyo, our national and international friends who have continuously supported and took a part in this campaign and hope your compassionate assistance will be equally forthcoming in the coming days.
Thanking you!!
