KATHMANDU, 30 March 2020: The Crisis Response Unit at Nepal Tourism Board led by CEO Dhananjay Regmi successfully rescued stranded tourists in Nepal from various tourism destinations, who have been stuck after lock down the country. According to Nepal Tourism Board the total of 964 tourists from various parts of the country was successfully rescued. 302 out of 964 were rescued to Kathmandu on 27th March, and remaining 662 were rescued on 28th March. Among them 480 from Pokhara, 205 from Lukla, 177 from Jomsom, 60 from Annapurna Base Camp, 26 from Manaslu Circuit, 5 from Gorkha, 4 from Kande Pokhara, 3 from Taplejung- Kanchanjunga and 1 from Beni.
Some of them are still left to rescue who will come soon ! According to Nepal government authorities reported that Around 10,000 foreigners are stranded in Nepal.
