The Mardi Himal Trek is one of the most popular trekking route and hidden treasure in the Annapurna Himalaya Region. This trek is the best destination to make close view of the popular mountain Mt. Fishtail. Mardi Himal Trek offer amazing view of Annapurna Range, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchre and Manaslu ranges. Excursion to Mardi Himal Base Camp, is the major attraction of this trekking.
The trek starts from Kande after 1 hours driving from Pokhara. The trail is good, first slowly walk uphill, then a bit steeper to Australian Camp (2060m) (About one hour), then after that slightly downhill to Pothana (1950m) then up again to Deurali (2100m).
There is a right turn in Deurali sign posted call “Forest Camp” the trail is goes through the jungle, at first up then rolling on the top of a ridge, there is a section just over half way where the trail drops steeply and then slowly gains height and then back onto the ridge and into Forest Camp (2600m).
The trail is initially quite steep leaving Forest Camp but soon gets less steep as you again get upon the ridge. The trail leaves Low Camp again in jungle, but the trees soon start to get smaller and after about one hours trekking broke out of the jungle and onto the open ridge with spectacular views of Machhapuchhre ahead and Annapurna South to the left.
It is possible to continue trekking along the ridge for another 4 to 5 hours to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4500m) and return to Low Camp in around 4 hours – This makes a long day but there is also a view point in about half way, the imaging view can be seen from here. After that, we return all the way down to Siding Village. When we arrive at Siding, you can explore huge chicken farm. After breakfast, you will drive by Jeep to Pokhara to end your trek.
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu, pick up & transfer to the Hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus (8-9hrs).
Day 03: Drive from Pokhara to Kande (1hrs) & trek to Pothana/Deurali (1925m) (4hrs).
Day 04: Trek from Pothana/Deurali to Low Camp (3150m) (5-6hrs).
Day 05: Trek from Low Camp to High Camp (3700m) (4-5hrs).
Day 06: Excursion Hike to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4500m) & return to Low Camp (6hrs).
Day 07: Trek from Low Camp to Siding Village (1750m) (5hrs) then drive to Pokhara by Jeep (2hrs).
Day 08: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus evening farewell dinner.
Day 09: Depart Kathmandu for home.

Day 01 – Arrive at Tribhuwan International airport in Kathmandu, transfer to the Hotel and free activities in the evening.
Day 02 – Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus (8-9hrs).
Drive to Pokhara (200 km. 8/9 hours driving) by tourist bus / Car (at 7:00 AM) in the morning from Kathmandu and then overnight at the Hotel in Pokhara.
Day 03 – Drive from Pokhara to Kande (1hrs) & trek to Pothana/Deurali(2100m) (4hrs).
You drive to the trailhead, the route from Kande is a good one and very few trekkers choose to start the trek from here. The trail is good, first slowly up, then a bit steeper to Australian Camp (2060m – About one hour), then after an early lunch slightly downhill to Pothana (1950m) and the formality for ACAP / TIMS checkpoint, then up again to Deurali (2100m). And then overnight at Lodge.
Day 04 – Trek from Pothana/Deurali to Low Camp (3150m) (5-6hrs).
There is a right turn in Deurali signposted “Forest Camp” the trail is through jungle, at first up then undulating on the top of a ridge, there is a section just over half way where the trail drops steeply and then slowly gains height and then back onto the ridge and into Forest Camp (2600m) after about 4 hour trekking. There are now few lodges in Forrest Camp. Simple but clean so again a good choice. After lunch the trail is initially quite steep leaving Forest Camp but soon gets less steep as you again get upon the ridge. From Forest Camp trekking through more jungle with occasional glimpses of Annapurna South before getting into Low Camp (3150m) after around 3 hours. Although there are few lodges in Low camp, the lodges are very simple.
Day 05 – Trek from Low Camp to High Camp (3700m) (4-5hrs).
The trail leaves Low Camp again in jungle, but the trees soon start to get smaller and after about one hours trekking broke out of the jungle and onto the open ridge with spectacular views of Machhapuchhre ahead and Annapurna South to the left. The trail then undulates along the ridge and after about 3 hours trekking we arrived at High Camp (3700m) and then overnight at Lodge.
Day 06 – Excursion Hike to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4500m) & return to Low Camp (5hrs). Early morning continue our trekking along the ridge for another 4 to 5 hours to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4500m) and return to High Camp in around 4 hours – after lunch we continue return to Low Camp. This makes a long day but there is also a viewpoint in about half way and then overnight at Lodge.
Day 07 – Trek from Low Camp to Siding Village (1750m) (5hrs) then drive to Pokhara by Jeep (5hrs).
This day, we trek down to Siding Village. All the way going down to Siding from Low Camp then after lunch at Siding we take Jeep drive to Pokhara around 2 hours drive to end our trekking.
Day 08 – Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus evening farewell dinner.
Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (200 km. 8/9 hours driving) by tourist bus at 7:30 am and stay last overnight at the Hotel in Kathmandu before heading back to home.
Day 09 –Depart Kathmandu for home.

MEALS
During our trek, you can enjoy authentic Nepalese food as well the more common international cuisine such Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Indian, etc. Usually breakfast and dinner will be provided from the teahouse or from a lodge menu where we spend the night, whereas lunch will be provided on the way to the next destination. All meals, including breakfast, lunch and dinner, will be provided during trekking while only breakfast will be available in Kathmandu and in Pokhara. There will also be farewell dinners with our team at the end of your trip.
ACCMMODATION
You will be accommodated in standard hotels in Kathmandu and in Pokhara and teahouses during the trek. Hotel Kathmandu Suite Home or similar in Kathmandu and Dahlia Boutique Hotel or similar in Pokhara. All accommodations are on twin-shared basis. Single supplement will be served on request and will cost an additional USD 250. Higher Limits will book the best available teahouses during the trek but understand that the trails of Mardi Himal Trek are not as frequented by tourists as the Annapurna and Everest regions. Therefore, the guesthouse facilities will be very basic. Also note that single rooms are readily available in Kathmandu and in Pokhara but it might be difficult to find them during the trek.

While packing for “Mardi Himal Trek” warm clothing is important to ensure comfort and safety, while non-essential gear such as a knife may simply come in handy. Here we have a suggested packing list to guide you in preparation:
ACCLIMATIZATION
Keep in mind that you will be passing above 4000m during the journey to Mardi Himal Trek. Walking fast at such elevation could lead to medical complications (Acute Mountain Sickness) which could be serious. There is less oxygen compared to sea level in high-altitudes places. The higher, altitude will be the less oxygen in air. Although we provide information regarding AMS insurance, the only option for treatment is descending (evacuation). We advise that clients with known heart, lung or blood diseases, or clients over the age of 60 make sure to discuss with their doctor before traveling with us.
HEALTH & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
This trekking involves five to seven hours walking per day. However, it is some part of this trek at very high altitude, which will take a physical toll. There are no special physical or training requirements, but high altitude experience & walking is a benefit.

Ans: Yes, electricity is available in the majority of location along this trekking route. However, it is recommended to be prepared with a 2-pin plug, power bank and spare batteries for your devices.
