Langtang Valley Trek - 10 Days

Langtang Valley Trek commences with an overland journey to Syabru Bensi though Dunche, the main trekking starting point known in this area. From here on, we spend three days hiking up through this beautiful alpine valley to Kyangjin Gompa which is the final destination to accommodate our trip. On the day you walk from Langtang village to Kyanjin Gompa after lunch you can still make the exploration trip around the valley, even we can go to see the old local Yak Cheese Factory. Next day early morning after breakfast we hike to Kyanjin Ri 4700m about 3-4hrs.

After exploration of the high mountains and glacial systems from Kyanjin Ri, we walk back to Kyanjin Gompa for a lunch, rest of the day is relax, rest and walk around. ACCLIMATIZATION:
Keep in mind that you will be reaching above 4000m during the journey to Kyanjin Ri. Walking fast at such elevation could lead to medical complications (Acute Mountain Sickness) which could be serious. There is less oxygen compared to sea level in high-altitudes places. The higher, altitude will be the less oxygen in air. Your body needs a days to acclimatize to this environment, which is why we will take a day rest during the trip at Kyanjin Ri. Although we provide information regarding AMS insurance, the only option for treatment is descending (evacuation). We advise that clients with known heart, lung or blood diseases, or clients over the age of 60 to discuss with their doctor before traveling with us.

2nd Time & Happy Customer

It’s our 2nd time going with Higher Limits Trek & Expedition. The first time was in 2014 for the Manaslu trek and this time in the Langtang valley.

Gopal and his team are amazing.

We got a great guide, Ram, a true nature lover and “birder”. He knew everything about this trek (he’s done it maybe 60-70 times) and we couldn’t be happier.

We are already planning to go again with Higher Limits Trek & Expedition but this time with our whole family.

Thank you!
