The condition of trekkers’ information management system (TIMS) come into effect on January 1st 2008. Unlike Trekking Registration Certificate (TRC), the TIMS slips will be made available to trekkers in 20$. Trekking companies, who are members of TAAN, will be used as TIMS counters. The TAAN central office in Kathmandu and its regional section office in Pokhara will also issue TIMS slips. If it is necessary, NTB will open its counter to issue the slips for Individual Tourists. There are two types of TIMS Certificates: blue certificate for the organized trekkers and green certificates for Free Individual Trekkers (FIT).
