This is a very great and encouraging news for all Nepalese tourism industry as it struggles to restore tourism in the post-earthquake scenario.According to Rough guide, one of the leading travel publishers in the world, Nepal has been placed on no. 1 spot in its list of must-visit destinations around the world for 2016. The ranking was done on the number of public votes received during recent survey. Similarly, another great news for Nepal Tourism industry National Geographic Traveller has ranked Nepal in the sixth spot among 16 cool locations to visit in 2016.

The UK-based Rough Guides said, “Nepal, from its majestic mountains and lush green rice paddies to decorated temples and chaotic capital, the country remains an undoubtedly beguiling location. With varied landscapes — from the Himalayas to jungles inhabited by tigers, elephants and rhinos — Nepal should be your first choice for travel in 2016”

Tourism is one of the major industries of Nepal upon hundreds and thousands of people are dependent on the field. Following the unprecedented loss due to earthquake and 5 month long unofficial economic blockade imposed by India, Nepal is banking on tourism to restore and rebuild its fledgling economy. Nepal is steadfast on the path of recovery and reconstruction of trekking trails, villages, temples and heritage sites.
