KATHMANDU, The U.S. Department of State yesterday cancelled its Travel Warning for Nepal. The Travel Warning was issued for Nepal on October 8, 2015, and reflected geological instability following the Gorkha Earthquake and the monsoon season, unrest in the Terai, and country-wide fuel shortages. Because conditions have changed, the Travel Warning was cancelled effective from February 29, 2016. The U.S. Department of State publishes Country Specific Information sheets for every country in the world, including Nepal, describing local conditions and risks for American travelers. When risks of travel in a country become significant, the Department of State may issue a Travel Alert or Travel Warning. Up-to-date travel information can still be found in the Department’s Country Specific Information sheet for Nepal.
Higher Limits Trek & Expedition also really thankful for the great step of U.S department.
