Third visit of Budhathum with Relief Materials

We visits Budhathum Village in Dhading District again to distribute relief materials!
On 11 June, along with our Japanese friend paid a third visit to Budhathum Village, in Dhading district to distribute third batch of relief materials to the victims of Earthquake disaster. The visit was organized by the Higher Limits Trek & Expedition in cooperation and support of all our international friends. We would like to Thank to all helping hands again you have made us able to go back to the village again.

Previously, we had visited already the village twice on 1st -5th May and on 22nd May, 2015 and we made first-hand observation of the earthquake disaster in the village as well as distributed beaten rice, mattress, dry noodles, tarpaulins, cooking oil, salt and mosquito nets.

This time we are doing the different things than the previous trip, on this trip we have picked out of the most poorest fifty families from the 1032 house holders from 9 wards who are really week Economically, who haven’t built the temporary house yet, who have no way to come money for the galvanized iron sheet (board) , single women, who’s family member are not in any job to make money and who’s house was completely destroyed by this devastating earthquake we distributed each families 4-8 sheets of the galvanized iron board for the temporary house in Budhathum village in close coordination of the Main Committee for Disaster Relief set up at the VDC level.

At end of the distribution the iron sheet still was not enough for some families due to size of the family member because we had to give them the iron sheet more than we calculate so that I have made further commitment to offer again iron sheet for rest of the families to be sent to the village soon. The lovely villager accorded welcomed the team with their full heart in spite of this difficult moment. We will post about the activities of the next round of relief campaign.
